The first contract awarded was a beach nourishment contract in 1997 at Sandwich Bay in Kent. Since this time we have continued to carry out similar contracts in many other parts of the UK and Europe.
Various rock structures have been constructed, including revetments, groynes, reefs and hybrid rock/precast concrete reefs ranging from 3,000 - 80,000 tonnes.
Many beach renourishment schemes have been completed involving hundreds of thousands of cubic metres of fill.
We have invested heavily in specialist plant for these works, low ground pressure bulldozers, dumptrucks, wheeloaders, excavators and grapples. All of which run on biodegradable oils to safeguard the fragile environment in which we often work.
The entire fleet consists of up-to-date plant, which along with strict maintenance schedules, our own fitters on 24 hour callout, extensive workshop facilities and parts stock, ensure that the machines are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, as is often required on projects of this nature.
